There are two kits that can be bought separately with the
Mycodome v2.0.
The 6 substrate jars and a mini
MYG casing kit. These instructions cover both of the kits procedures.

The Mycodome for Incubation
Incubation is used to maintain your thriving mycelium at optimal environmental
conditions for growth and development. The Mycodome achieves this in the
first step of the process. You will need both buckets and the white lid
for this. Fill your bottom bucket with water before you plug the heater
in.
* WARNING
If you let the heater heat up fist and then apply the water,
it will shatter the heating element inside and render it useless. And
it will void your guarantee.
Fill the water to about where the Velcro begins. Place the top bucket
inside so it floats right on the surface of the bottom buckets water level.
Now plug in the heater and set the gauge to the appropriate temperature.
When your package arrives you will remove the negative side of the Velcro
from the bottom bucket and attach it to your thermometer. Run the sensor
through the hole in the top bucket and make sure to set the thermometer
to outside setting to read the temperature from the sensor.
Place your inoculated substrate or rye jars inside the incubator and
close the lid. If you are unfamiliar with the inoculating process then
please refer
to the inoculation video.
In a few weeks you should have healthy, white mycelium. We recommend dunking
any colonized substrate before fruiting and if
you are not familiar with dunking then please refer to the video on this
site.
Now that your mycelium has grown throughout the substrate it will begin
to deplete its energy source therefore influencing fruiting bodies to
drop their spores. Optimal conditions are required for this fruiting process.
In this guide we will cover both fruiting cakes and casings.
You will need the perforated drying tray and the leca for this procedure.
The leca is light expanded clay aggregate and is used in hydroponics mostly
but it provides an ideal substrate for creating humidity for mushrooms.
Remove the sensor from the incubation bucket and place your air pump inside.
Wire the plug for the air pump through the hole in the top bucket. Attach
the hose with the green valve to the air pump and place the tray on the
top bucket.
Add your leca to the fruiting tray and level it out with your hand.
Plug in your air pump and add enough water to where you see tiny bubbles
emitting from beneath the surface of the leca.
Add your perforated drying tray. You will notice there are six slots,
that’s where all 6 of your substrate jars will sit.
There are tons of different methods for fruiting these types of cakes.
You may want to research what the best method for your particular strain
would be.
Close the lid let the air pump run continuously. You may want to open
up the lid to the dome every few days and allow some fresh air circulate
over your cakes. Other than that just sit back and let the magic happen.

Beautiful White Mycelium!
Casings require less humidity than cakes to fruit. You will want to do
one of a couple of things when fruiting casings in the Mycodome v2.0.
First when you wet down your leca, its best to then drain off any excess
water and then add it to the fruiting tray. That way no standing water
will be in the leca to bubble and that will be less humidity. Casings
also require more of a regulated air exchange. We suggest either opening
up the dome 3-5 times a day to allow fresh air to circulate or to add
a timer of some sort to your air pump and have the air exchanges done
automatically. For further instructions on preparing this
casing from the mini MYG kit, please refer to the site.

Now you have tons of mushrooms
that need drying!
For the Mycodome's last feature you will need to remove the fruiting
tray and remove the air pump from the bucket. Locate your bag of Quickdry
and add it to the bottom of the top bucket. Place your perforated drying
tray upside down on top of the quickdry. Place your fresh mushrooms on
top of the tray and close the white lid.
Place the air pump on top of the system and run the hose with the green
check valve attached to it inside the small hole in the dry chamber and
plug it in. The hose with filter is a multi-tasking device that originally
was attached to the fruiting tray.

Within a few days you
will have perfectly dried mushrooms!
